I was surprised Las Vegas is situated in a desert. They don’t tell us that on television. Or maybe I just missed that part.
I never thought people could live in deserts, much less build cities in its midst. The Hoover Dam, which produces energy and provides water, is the reason for such wonder. Kudos to American engineering!
